A lot has happened since last I posted here. I moved from Sacramento to Portland-Metro area in Oregon. I am remarried to my first husband and living a sweet life full of love.
I have begun painting again after a long hiatus and am working on publishing my first children's book. I will begin posting a few new paintings here shortly.
I have missed my artist friends here and am looking forward to seeing what you have all been up to in my absence. Hope to talk to you soon!

It has been a long time...
... since I updated anything here. Been through major life changes. I lost my dad and then my marriage fell apart. These things pretty much squelched my desire to produce anything artistic for a time. But now I am beginning to draw and paint again. I have been doing a lot of colored pencil doodling (traditional pencils and paper, not digital). Just getting my hand back in there.
I have major carpal tunnel in my right arm, which will have to be fixed before long. My job for the last 13 years has kept me working at a computer 8 hours a day with my hand on the mouse quite a lot, so the carpal tunnel does not surprise me, it just hampers

Printing Artwork
So... anyone out there have any tips for a type of paper on which to be printing digital art? I have an HP deskjet printer. It prints the colors really nicely and pretty close to true to the color.
The problem is that the colors seem to bleed together just enough to obliterate detail on some things. When I printed my latest snowy mountain scene, the colors bled just enough that the detail between the hills was lost on the darkest mountain.
I tried getting heavier paper with a bit smoother tooth, but no luck yet. Photo paper works pretty good, but I am not sure I want to pay that much. I want something a bit cheaper so that I can print
