Well, in the story that this illustration was done for, Riley wants to catch the dragonfly, but the dragonfly is to crafty and too fast for him.

He'll have to stick to lazy old flies.

Made me laugh!

It should be noted that this little dragonfly comes out the winner in the chase and the frog loses his desire for dragonfly flesh in the story.
